Overview
The Vascular Medicine Clinic is a specialty program that provides comprehensive risk factor reduction, diagnostic testing, and longitudinal management for individuals with a history of stroke/TIA, other forms of arterial disease, or who are at increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). In this clinic we focus on managing medical risk factors such as hypertension, high cholesterol levels, smoking, diabetes, alcohol, obesity, and metabolic disease. When necessary, the physician may suggest specific investigations such as cardiac testing, bloodwork, and imaging studies. This clinic requires a referral from a physician.
