Dr. Fotis Katsikeris

BEng, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Katsikeris completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in electrical and electronic engineering. After this, he enrolled in post graduate medical education at University College Dublin in Ireland. After graduating from medical school he completed one year of intern training at St. James's Hospital in Dublin and was then accepted and enrolled in an Internal Medicine training program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School - Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. After completing his internal medicine training he stayed for an extra year of training as the chief resident in Internal Medicine and was focused on teaching and point of care ultrasound. Springfield, MA  is the birthplace of basketball from Canada’s very own James Naismith, as well as the home of Dr. Seuss. This is not where the Simpson’s live however. After completing his Internal Medicine training he was accepted for training in Adult cardiology at the University of Toronto. He was also the chief cardiology resident in his final year. After his cardiology training he enrolled as a clinical fellow in Adult Echocardiography. He is currently a level 3 certified echocardiographer. His clinical nitrates include include heart failure, amyloidosis and structural heart disease. In his spare time, he likes to be with his family, watch baseball and cook BBQ.
